It seems that during the past week I have received several (too many!) items of bad news. These were all related to the health of family members. There are times when it's difficult to understand the Why? part of life. I agree with a statement made by Billy Graham's daughter: The one thing I do not understand is Why bad things happen to good people.
It's just so frustrating and difficult and worrisome and pesky.... We are so very, very blessed with wonderful family members and fantastic friends. We know them to be awesome people. But then we hear that something terrible has befallen them due to no fault of their own. Frustrating.
I must calm down, be still, and know who is God. And then completely trust God in the wisdom of His ways. Hummm. Easier said than done.
But I do strongly believe in the power of prayer, so I continue to bumble along, praying my disjointed prayers. I think God will look further and see the pureness of my prayer, and hopefully overlook my frustrations.
God bless you and yours....

The Art of Gratitude
Some days are just better than others. Even though I know that’s a fact of life, I am still amazed at how we muddle through our days and sometimes don’t even take the time to stop and say thank you for all that we have. I have family members who I honestly love and adore, and I sincerely think that I have some of the best girlfriends to ever grace this planet. “The girlfriends” are wonderful, always ready with a listening ear, and always full of the best of advice. I am truly blessed.
I want to really strive to have a more thankful heart. I know I have a lot for which to be thankful, but I want to better express my thankfulness. I want to actively see the glass half full 100 percent of the time! I want to learn to Let Go and Let God. Join me!
